About Agro Trade International
A Trading Heritage. A Technology-Driven Future.
From agricultural commodity origination to digital supply-chain intelligence, we bring practical industry knowledge and modern technology together to help businesses manage agricultural trade with greater visibility, accountability and confidence.
Our story
Learned in the field. Applied in software.
Agro Trade International developed its understanding of agricultural commodity supply chains through practical experience in sourcing, procurement, aggregation and logistics. Incorporated in Mauritius, the company’s operational experience has been built in West Africa — sourcing organic soybeans in Togo, working with farming communities on soybean cultivation in Nigeria, and sourcing non-GM sesame and dried ginger.
That work meant dealing directly with the realities of commodity trade: buying from many small suppliers through agents, weighing and bagging at collection points, consolidating volumes upcountry, storing them safely and coordinating their movement to port.
Working across agricultural value chains highlighted the importance of accurate inventory records, reliable reconciliation and operational transparency. These insights now inform the development of AgroVault.
What operations taught us
Three lessons from the supply chain.
Records decide outcomes
When procurement logs, warehouse ledgers and dispatch notes disagree, value is lost in the gaps — often without anyone being able to say where.
Reconciliation must be routine
Differences between book and physical stock are normal. What matters is finding them early and explaining them properly.
Visibility builds confidence
Owners, buyers and partners make better decisions when they can see current stock, recent movements and open issues clearly.
How it fits together
Commodity expertise and software, each informing the other.
Our experience in agricultural commodity supply chains informs the technology we build to improve them.
Agro Trade Commodities
Operational knowledge
Sourcing, procurement, aggregation, warehousing and export coordination — the day-to-day workflows of agricultural trade.
AgroVault
Practical technology
Inventory, reconciliation, procurement and custody tools designed around those same workflows — and shaped by what actually happens in a warehouse.
How we work
Principles
Grounded
We build for workflows we have seen in practice, not for an idealised supply chain.
Accountable
Every movement should have a record, a responsible party and a reason.
Measured
We describe what we do and what AgroVault does precisely — and say clearly what is still to come.
