Last updated: 28 October 2026

This notice explains how Agro-trade International Limited collects, uses and protects personal data when you use this website, send us an enquiry or join the AgroVault Professional waitlist. Data you enter into the AgroVault application itself is handled under the AgroVault subscription terms you accept when you subscribe.

1. Who we are

This website is operated by Agro-trade International Limited (trading as Agro Trade International), a company incorporated in the Republic of Mauritius under company number 155812 AC, with its registered office at Premier Business Centre, 10th Floor, Sterling Tower, 14 Poudrière Street, Port Louis, Mauritius.

For the purposes of the Mauritius Data Protection Act 2017 and other applicable data protection laws, we are the controller of the personal data described in this notice. You can contact us about privacy at info@agrotradeinternational.net.

2. Information we collect

We collect only the information you choose to give us, and limited technical data needed to run the website:

  • Commodity sourcing enquiries: name, company, email address, country, commodity of interest and your message.
  • AgroVault enquiries and demonstration requests: name, company or trading name, email address, country, business type, number of warehouses, any plan you ask about and your message.
  • AgroVault Professional waitlist: name, work email address, company, country, the description that best fits your business, number of storage locations, preferred payment method and any optional note.
  • Technical data: when you visit the site, our hosting provider automatically processes data such as your IP address, browser type and the pages requested, to deliver the site securely and to prevent abuse.

We do not ask for payment card details, bank details or digital-asset wallet information through this website, and we do not knowingly collect sensitive personal data.

3. How we use your information

We use your information to:

  • respond to your enquiry and continue any resulting business discussion;
  • arrange and deliver AgroVault demonstrations and consultations;
  • manage your waitlist registration and contact you about AgroVault Professional, plans, availability in your country and payment options;
  • keep the website secure, prevent spam and misuse, and fix technical problems; and
  • comply with our legal and regulatory obligations.

We do not sell your personal data, and we do not use it for automated decision-making that has legal or similarly significant effects on you.

5. Who we share it with

We share personal data only with service providers that help us run the website and handle your enquiry:

  • Website hosting: Vercel Inc., which hosts and delivers this website.
  • Email delivery: Resend, which delivers form submissions to our inbox.
  • Email and business services that we use to manage our correspondence.

These providers act on our instructions and may not use your data for their own purposes. We may also disclose information where required by law, to protect our rights, or as part of a business reorganisation, in which case your data would remain protected by this notice. When AgroVault subscriptions open, payment processing will be carried out by approved payment providers under their own terms, and we will update this notice before then.

6. International transfers

We are based in Mauritius, and our service providers may process data in other countries, including the United States and the European Union. Where personal data is transferred outside the country in which it was collected, we take steps to ensure it receives an appropriate level of protection, for example by using providers that offer contractual data protection commitments, as required by applicable law.

7. How long we keep it

  • Enquiries: for as long as needed to respond and manage any resulting relationship, and for up to 24 months after our last contact with you.
  • Waitlist registrations: until AgroVault Professional is available and for up to 12 months afterwards, or until you ask us to remove you, whichever is sooner.
  • Technical logs: for the limited period set by our hosting provider.

8. Cookies

This website does not use advertising, tracking or analytics cookies. If we introduce analytics or other non-essential cookies in future, we will update this notice and, where required, ask for your consent first.

9. Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to:

  • access the personal data we hold about you;
  • have inaccurate data corrected;
  • have your data erased;
  • object to or restrict certain processing;
  • withdraw your consent at any time, without affecting earlier processing; and
  • lodge a complaint with a data protection authority.

These rights arise under the Mauritius Data Protection Act 2017 and, where they apply, under the data protection laws of the countries where we operate or plan to offer AgroVault, including Nigeria, Ghana, Kenya and Togo. To exercise them, email info@agrotradeinternational.net. We may need to verify your identity before acting on your request.

In Mauritius, you can complain to the Data Protection Office. If you are elsewhere, you may contact your local data protection authority.

10. Security

We use appropriate technical and organisational measures to protect personal data, including encrypted (HTTPS) connections and limited access. No method of transmission over the internet is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.

11. Children

This website and AgroVault are intended for business use and are not directed at anyone under 18.
